Amanda has several roles here at District Vet – from veterinary assistant and customer service to dog training and public outreach. Amanda’s love of animals began when she was just a little girl, and used to carry around her “pet worms” in the bib pocket of her Oshkosh overalls. After finally wearing her mom down, she grew her animal family to include hamsters, gerbils, snakes, cats and dogs over the years.
Amanda is a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA), with a foundation in positive reinforcement training, and has extensive experience catsitting, walking dogs, training dogs, and managing a doggie daycare. Amanda lives with her best friend, a rescue pitbull named Djanga. She enjoys running marathons, fishing, scuba diving, and taking her dog dock diving in her free time.
